Jurassic park bookcover-1_edited_edited.

One of my favorite childhood books, Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park kept me fascinated with life and full of wonder as a young kid.

I was particularly interested in the idea of bringing back extinct species from seemingly insignificant mosquitoes trapped in amber and the chaos theory.

I chose the bright red for this cover because it symbolizes the impending doom and correlates to the quality of tension this book incites.

The two dinosaurs depicted are the T-Rex and Pterodactyl. I chose them to add a contrast between land and air.

The prehistoric plants in the foreground add depth to the cover.

The method used for the title is the machine called printing press, I took individual letters, painted over them and pressed it on to parchment.

I then transferred the image into Adobe Illustrator and tweaked the letters, elongating the J, and C, and adding a line in the inverted V to turn it into an A.
